Amgen Appoints HR SVP

Lori Johnston has been appointed senior vice president of Human Resources at Amgen, effective December 9, 2016. Ms. Johnston will be responsible for overseeing the global Human Resources function and reports to Robert A. Bradway, chairman and chief executive officer.  

Previously, Ms. Johnston led the Human Resources function at Celanese Corp. as executive vice president and chief administrative officer. Prior to Celanese, she spent more than 10 years with Amgen in progressive leadership positions.  

Mr. Bradway said, “We are pleased to have Lori Johnston return to lead Human Resources for Amgen. Her deep knowledge of Amgen, experience and strong leadership will be a key factor in ensuring Amgen’s ability to compete intensely, deliver on our commitments and attract and retain world-class talent.”
